When re-insulating a home, remember, it is necessary to remove the old insulation. Bagging and dragging old insulation through the living space of a house is NOT a safe method of removing insulation. This result in the release airborne fiberglass particles and any other contaminants that were in your attic. Likewise it is unsafe to simply add insulation over the old insulation. The old insulation will compromise the effectiveness of the new insulation and any contaminants, pests, or mold/moisture problems will persist.
